Blackened Chicken Wings

These Blackened Chicken Wings are juicy and packed with Deeply Root’d flavor. Marinated in our signature Blackened Seasoning and finished with a splash of Jerk Mango Pineapple Sauce, the wings bake to tender perfection with a crispy finish.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. Deeply Root’d Blackened Seasoning
  • ½ cup - 1 cup of Deeply Root’d Jerk Mango Pineapple Sauce
  • 2 pounds of 1st and 2nd joint party wings (Wash and Clean)
  • 1- banking pan 12.7; X 8.9; X 2;
  • 3.5 cup of Olive Oil
  • 1- 3-quart saucepan (Optional)


Directions:

  1. In the mixing bowl add the 2 pounds of wings
  2. Add 1/2 cup olive oil, and Blackened Seasoning in the bowl
  3. Mix all together and let sit overnight or a couple of hours.
  4. Add the seasoned wings to a baking pan leaving space between each wing.
  5. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees electric or 400 degrees for gas.
  6. Once heated, put in oven for 35 to 45 minutes and let bake.
  7. Turn chicken over and let bake for another 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Let chicken rest for a couple minutes before removing to a serving platter.
  9. Optional- For crispy wings turn stove on medium to high heat.
  10. Add 2.5-3 cups of olive oil to saucepan and let oil get hot for a minute.
  11. Add 3 to 4 wings to the pan for 5 to 10 seconds or until crispy.
  12. Repeat this step until all wings are cooked. (internal temp 165°F)
  13. Let wings cool on paper towel for 1-2 min. before serving.
  14. (Optional) Use Deeply Root’d Jerk Mango Pineapple Sauce to coat the wings or for dipping
